- I had to gather information on logo design
- I got to take three logos and annotate them
- Then I had to draw approximately five thumbnail logo sketches
- When I was done I had to pick a logo and draw a full scale version
- I opened up Adobe Illustrator to start making my logo
- My logo is an inspiration of the cartoon network logo because of its simplicity and I changed it to Alternative cities.
- The first thing people will see are the initials then the skyline then finally the byline of the logo.
- The font I was using was on the logo itself is Eagle bold and the font for the logo byline was a Bold blocky font.
- The color on the logo is mainly black and white.
- Since the original Cartoon network logo had negative spacing I used this technique on the white "A" and the white square where the black "C" is.
- This logo is an inspiration the cartoon network logo so the audience I'm focusing on is around all-ages.
- I started with making two basic squares next to each other.
- I image traced the cartoon network logo and took the "C" and "A" in "CARTOON" from the logo
- I added a silhouette of a city landscape and putted it on top of the logo
- lastly I typed "ALTERNATIVE CITIES" to the bottom of the logo
- What went well was that the progression went smoothly with no problems what so ever.
- The only thing That I could improve on is a better use of the city silhouette on top of the logo.
